In the uncertain times we all face, the Prince of Peace is a source of light and hope. The title “Prince of Peace” appears in the book of Isaiah and is intertwined with the visions of Revelation.
Isaiah 9:6 announces the essence of divine revelation: “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (NKJV).* This verse not only anticipates Jesus’ birth, but also highlights His eternal rule of peace. That promise of peace is central to the last book of the Bible.
The Prince of Peace is not only the central theme of Revelation, but also its Author. According to the apostle John, Revelation is “the Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John” (Revelation 1:1).
The idea of peace is central to this magazine, written by Pastor Alejandro Bullón, international speaker, evangelist, and author. As you read the pages of this special edition of El Centinela, you will find peace and hope. You will see how the crises and tribulations we are experiencing are preludes to a deeper renewal and hope: “A new heaven and a new earth” await us (Revelation 21:1)! This message is a beacon of hope; it promises a future where peace will reign supreme in a restored and redeemed world.
But this promise will not be possible for you and me if the Prince of Peace does not reign in our hearts today. It is our desire that this issue might lead your heart to the feet of the great Revelator of all time, Jesus Christ.
